A cat is not
a small dog.

VetScope counts blood smears with the species already loaded — canine, feline, bovine, equine and avian. Different reference ranges, different cell names, different flags. Switch the species and the whole report changes with it.

The ranges are
the whole point.

A 60% lymphocyte count is normal in a cow and worth investigating in a dog. VetScope flags against the species in front of you, not against a human range with a note attached.

Typical adult intervals shown as a starting point. Every range is editable per species, per breed and per age group, and your edits are what the report uses.

At the eyepiece

Count with your
hands, not your
memory.

The count runs on the keyboard so you never look away from the slide. It closes itself at 100 cells and writes straight into the report.

Tally

One key per cell type

N, L, M, E, B for the five lines. Press it and the tally moves; press the wrong key and backspace undoes it.

Avian mode

Heterophils, not neutrophils

Bird smears rename the line, count thrombocytes instead of platelets, and expect nucleated red cells.

Morphology

Notes that reach the vet

Tick anisocytosis, polychromasia, toxic change, rouleaux or Howell–Jolly bodies as you see them.

Parasites

Flag what you find

Mark Babesia, Anaplasma, Trypanosoma, Ehrlichia or microfilaria against the field with the image attached.

Capture

Save the field you doubt

Grab the frame and attach it to the case, so the consulting vet sees the cell instead of your description of it.

Report

Owner and animal both

Species, breed, age, sex, owner and clinic on one page, with your signature block at the bottom.

What it runs on

Your scope,
your camera,
your PC.

No proprietary hardware to buy from us. If your trinocular head takes a C-mount camera and your PC runs Windows, you are already equipped.

Where we stand

Honest about
what it does.

Green means it is in the product today. Coral means it is being built, and we will give you a date instead of a promise.

You classify each cell. VetScope tallies, flags against species ranges and writes the report.

Machine-ID licence. No internet needed to open the software or finish a case.

Automatic cell suggestions, under training on annotated smears. Not a diagnosis, and always overridable.
